Thank you to our trade stalls who have ensured that our "Stash" and other quilting items never get less.  This year:

Thank you also to The Little Rotterdam Dutch Bakery from Waikanae who provided the continuous cafe upstairs to revive us when we started to lag.  We had such good feedback on the wonderful food provided.

And finally thank you to Michelle who sent us such cheering feedback at the end of the first day:

Hi there - just wanted to drop you a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your exhibition at Southwards yesterday. So much hard work went into putting it all together and it truly was a feast for the eyes. Here are some of the things I particularly liked about it:

The friendliness and information supplied about the quilts. Those who 'directed traffic' took time to speak to people and that made all the difference. Lots of smiles and offers to show the back of quilts. Made me feel very happy and welcome.

The space between rows - plenty of room to move around.

Thoughtful grouping of quilts. The hanging up the walkway in the entrance was a great thought - it set the excitement levels buzzing as I walked into the venue.

Great raffle quilt and baskets, and reasonable price to enter and purchase raffles.

Wonderful merchant area (although I didn't get a chance to do any damage to my budget, unfortunately) - what I saw was a lovely collection of interesting things.

Seats to sit and rest in the viewing area.

Free magazines - wow, this was unexpected but such a lovely thought.

I liked the signs saying that particular quilts were made by first-time exhibitors. I hope they're encouraged to enter more, as the quilts were beautiful.

Delicious food. The seating area was spacious and the prices reasonable. The people looking after the area kept the tables cleared, and I really liked the fabric/flower centre pieces. Another nice touch.

Thank you also for letting people take photos. I have a couple of dear quilting friends in the US and UK who are always sending me photos of exhibitions they go to. It was fantastic to be able to send some back. I took heaps, LOL.

In summary, it was a lovely day out for me, and the talent of your members is nothing short of amazing. Please thank everyone involved for putting on such a marvellous event. I can't wait for your next one.

Kindest regards.

Michelle
